Marco Cagiada is known by the top professional Italian and International accordionists as the very best tuner of accordions. His reputation has been built up over 30 years by creating the finest voices for their instruments. His professional experience started in 1976 with Fratelli Crosio.
Marco began in collaboration with maestri Vittorio Borghesi, Learco Gianferrari and other top professionals. After several years his unique talents earned him the responsibility for tuning for the name of Dallape, famous for creating the concert qualities of sound for the accordion.
After ten more years he decided to become an independent professional tuner and was featured on programs on RAI 1 and Canale 5 dedicated to the accordion and Stradella's importance in the development of the instrument. He continued working as an independent tuner with the most famous manufacturers in Stradella until in march 2000 he opened his own shop By Marco in Stradella.
Marco's unique quality of sound has proved irresistible to such famous maestri as Paolo Bagnasco, Enrico Traverso, Stefano Tubanti, Daniele Donadelli, Marco Porro, Sandro Allario, Massimo Andreotti, Samuel Rossi, Debora Sbarra, Marco Valenti and many others who have fallen in love with the unique By Marco sound.
In particular, with Franco Bagutti and Paolo Banasco he created special models: "Modello Bagutti" and "Modello Bagnasco". In the photo Marco is shown with some of his famous friends maestri Fugazza, Richard Galliano and Castellina.
After only one year, Marco received the prestigious prize of Best Accordion Company of the Year and was presented with a beautiful bronze sculpture dedicated to the memory of Astor Piazzolla (click here to view it), by the famous artist Franco Campanari.
In January 2005 he inaugurated the new shop in the historic Lucchini's company in Martiri Partigiani Street (the famous street of Accordion), again in Stradella, and has esclusive rights to this company that continues to live with the cooperation of Mr. Tino Lucchini.
